Johnson Suisse lab sink (RM80!) and Premtex taps (RM200ish) installed.

Scary looking dirt on the floor tiles (sand, cement, mud). To be acid cleaned!

Upstairs toilet... more pristine but dusty... acrylic folding door to be installed... space too small for a conventional door :(...

Tiny little sink to be fitted into the corner somewhere...

Another angle of the living room with the new stairs. A little irregular but that's ok gua...

Tree stump removed like magic. Public road beside is undamaged!

Quote

It is about knowing when to stop and about enjoying the little imperfections that come with it and not being too anal about getting everything right, because a building, especially a house, is an organic thing... it mutates and changes and grows old with us together. I realize that my preferences change every few years anyway, and it being unfinished will cater for the change.

 Tiling getting done...
Beautiful heavy white babies in the back seat...

The old lights are removed. Don't they resemble relics from the sea? Crustaceans or shells?

The front bit really needs a lot of work!
New wiring and piping...

The matt white emulsion looks like clouds against the original blue wall (Bedroom 1).

PS - the house has only two bedrooms.

The skirting is hacked off too ^_^... The initial plan was to pour a warm grey resin over the tiles... but now not sure lah after seeing so many nice tiles at Niro... (some more got kawan give 30% off wor...). We have termite paranoia, so not getting laminates or any sort of wood... the saddest thing ever...! So for the 'earthy touch' next time I hope to lay tatami mats around! (re: grassy fibrous rugs purchased from the likes of IKEA?)...

Developing façade.
Clear glass windows installed liao...
Plus a young man called Ah Kit also doing new wiring works.

The most nasty thing about it is still the detestable awning.
Can't wait for the day this will be dismantled for a more minimal shading mechanism. Still deciding... (but no polycarbonate lah... if got also, must be clear/grey colour one...)

That decaying tree in front is chopped off too.
Paving the way for a more slender and elegant species, hopefully.
Hopefully the decay was not due to a certain species of eusocial insect...
+
The remnants of the ASTRO dish is sticking out disconcertingly, highlighted by the fact that it is in the exact middle! How obscenely inappropriate!
Don't think these are imported, sound-proof, tempered glass windows though.
For RM25 psf, cannot complain lah. The surface resembles steel ala Building Bloc projects but this is because of the protective tape over all the sensitive edges... peeled off, the surface is glossy and deeply black.

Straight lines hollowed out for copper piping and new wiring...

Ornate I-want-to-be-a-modest-datin doorhandle.
I need new doors without the fussy carvings!

Butchered door-frame with extra-paranoid fittings. Stainless steel fixtures for me please...

Kitchen view... of mossy concrete (which is sort of okay). Will put a blind over this...

Big drilled out hole for the air con copper piping...

No more irregular glass bricks!
